Short answer: Otterly.AI and Wellows are the cheapest trackers (from $29 a month). Peec AI is the most analytics-focused. Semrush's toolkit ($99 a month) suits teams already on Semrush. What should you compare?
Engine coverage. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude cover chat. If Google traffic matters, you also want Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and Microsoft Copilot if your buyers live in Microsoft 365.
Prompt allowance and refresh. How many prompts the entry plan covers, and whether they're checked daily or weekly.
Diagnosis. Whether it shows which sources are cited and where competitors appear without you, not just a score.
What happens after a gap is found. A to-do list, a brief, a draft, or a published post.
Price at your volume. Entry prices hide add-ons: extra engines, prompts or domains.

Wellows tracks citations daily across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Advanced adds a Looker Studio connector; Enterprise adds API access and up to 13 models. We couldn't read current prices from the page, so check them directly. Writing and publishing stay with your team.
Otterly.AI: low-cost monitoring
Otterly.AI includes four engines on every plan – ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot – and sells Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude as add-ons. Prompts are checked daily. Plans are Lite $29 (15 prompts), Standard $189 (100) and Premium $489 (400) a month, with 15% off annual billing and a free trial. It adds citation checks, crawlability checks, content audits and briefs, but you write and publish the articles.
How do Semrush and blogawesome compare?
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
The AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month for one domain with 25 prompts. Extra domains are $99 each and 50 more prompts cost $60. There's no free trial. It gives an AI Visibility Score across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI, tracks prompts daily in ChatGPT, AI Mode and Gemini, reports sentiment weekly, shows prompts where competitors are cited and you aren't, and audits AI crawler access. Content tools are a separate Semrush toolkit, so the gap and the fix live in different places.
